Con l’evento CES 2012, Samsung ha presentato la nuova linea di notebook denominata Serie 9 per il mercato dei computer portatili.
Serie 9 di Samsung, offre un buon compromesso tra stile e la performance, grazie anche a molte funzionalità che permette a tutta l’utenza di essere collegati ovunque ci si trovi. Con 1,31 kg di peso e spessore di 16,3 mm il nuovo notebook è adatto per entrare in tutti i tipi di bagaglio anche il più piccolo.
Una buona caratteristica della serie 9 di Samsung è la durata della batteria che sarà in grado di durare tre volte più a lungo.

Samsung ha svelato oggi i notebook Serie 5 Ultra, nuovi gioielli del mobile computing che segnano l’ingresso ufficiale dell’azienda nel mercato degli Ultrabook. Racchiusi in uno chassis incredibilmente sottile e leggero e alimentati da un processore Intel ® Core ™ i5, assicurano massima potenza in completa mobilità! I nuovi dispositivi sono disponibili nelle versioni da 13,3” e 14” e integrano, nel secondo modello, un lettore DVD, caratteristica unica ed esclusiva all’interno del mondo Ultrabook pensata per garantire un’esperienza d’uso completa senza rinunciare alla portabilità. La nuova Serie 5 Ultra assicura, inoltre, l’avvio in 20 secondi da PC spento e in soli 2 secondi dalla fase di stand-by avanzata, oltre a offrire una velocità di navigazione web due volte più elevata rispetto a quella dei dispositivi tradizionali.
L’esclusiva configurazione a doppio storage – che include un Hard Disk da 500GB e un SSD da 16GB – completa la dotazione dei nuovi Ultrabook, assicurando prestazioni ad altissima velocità nell’esperienza d’utilizzo di tutti i giorni.
Samsung ha presentato, inoltre, il notebook Serie 9 di nuova generazione: il 21% più sottile e il 28% più piccolo del suo predecessore, è il notebook di fascia alta più sottile e compatto al mondo. Creato per chi desidera solo dispositivi d’eccellenza, Samsung Serie 9 si caratterizza per un nuovo design che lo vede realizzato interamente in alluminio. Following the former model’s premier at the CES 2011, the new Series 9 represents Samsung’s advanced innovative craftsmanship in the premium notebook sector.
Customized for consumers striving for top quality items with great design, the new Series 9 boasts the world’s thinnest and most compact chassis with 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor within the 13” and 15” sector. Its unique design and innovative engineering breaks all common perceptions of premium notebook PCs. Super-slim components are tailor-made for the Series 9 and precision-fitted into the device’s innovative single shell body. Samsung’s innovative compact chassis technology, MaxScreen, has been implemented to minimize the bezel size while maximizing the screen up to an inch more at the same time. Craftsmanship meets Design
To reach the highest premium design aspects without compromising performance or functionality, over 33,000 hours have been spent by design and engineering artisans. That’s a total of almost 4 years worth of time! Key components such as the LCD panel, keyboard, motherboard, cables, fans and battery have been customized with precision to fit into the Series 9’s extra flat single shell body.
The Mineral Ash Black color of the main body, with the sides left in natural matte aluminum creates a surprising contrast. To reach such visual perfection, the new Series 9 has been sand-blasted, offers fingerprint resistant surface for use.
Style with an exclusive, incomparable premium look and the refined aerodynamic design of the new Series 9 unify lines and curves into a solid identity, leaving out any frills. No tricks, only the true design and engineering essentials of the new Series 9 have been emphasized.
The Samsung Series 9 features the world’s thinnest and most compact 15” premium notebook for the first time, featuring a vivid 15” display fitted into a stylish 14” chassis. The truly flat 14.9mm (0.58 inch) thin design weighing just 1.49kg (3.3 lbs) makes the Series 9 ultra-portable; while power and performance are assured with a 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor, up to 8GB memory and 128GB SSD. The 13” model measures only 12.9mm (0.5 inch) and weighs just 1.19kg (2.5 lbs).
The 180% brighter HD+ SuperBright Plus screen with anti-reflective display ensures clear vision even outdoors. In addition, the MaxScreen (+1 inch) and wide 160º viewing angle ensures a comfortable viewing experience.

Featuring a glass coating and image sensor, it provides a stylish and convenient way to use your notebook. It supports 21 types of gestures (such as pinching, swiping, and rotation) with advanced 3D image sensing for sophisticated and intuitive navigation.
Setting-up your notebook has never been easier. Bypass the Control Panel and simply take control of your notebook and optimize its performance with Samsung’s Easy Settings, which provide one-click execution using keyboard shortcuts and minimal steps to adjust simple functions. It also unifies Samsung’s utility software, so the Series 9 will start-up and run faster.
Luxury Brand Collaboration
To answer the growing demand on luxury notebook PC accessories, the Italian luxury brand Valextra also joined to create a customized leather notebook briefcase for the new Series 9 at CES 2012.”
