Battlefield 3 e The Witcher 2 riscuotono grande successo.
In concomitanza con il GamesCom 2012 è andato in scena un evento parallelo nella splendida cornice della città di Colonia in Germania, stiamo parlando del European Games Awards 2012, che ha assegnato i premi per categoria a diversi titoli tra cui spiccano Battlefield 3 e The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
I due team di sviluppo, DICE e CD Projekt Red, hanno ricevuto un forte riconoscimento visti i vari premi vinti.
