AMD annuncia oggi la disponibilità dei nuovi processori AMD Fusion A-Series A8-3850 e A6-3650

AMD annuncia oggi la disponibilità dei nuovi processori per desktop AMD Fusion A-Series Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) A8-3850 e A6-3650.

I nuovi processori offriranno, agli utenti dei sistemi desktop, elevate performance, ottima qualità grafica HD, prestazioni da supercomputer di oltre 500 gigaflop, elevata velocità nelle applicazioni e rapido trasferimento dei contenuti tramite USB 3.0.

Entrambi i processori – AMD A8-3850 e AMD A6-3650 – combinano su un singolo chip, una CPU con quattro core x86 e un processore grafico discreto che supporta tecnologia DirectX11, il quale può integrare a sua volta fino a 400 core oltre a una dedicata elaborazione video in HD.

Tutti i processori AMD A-Series sono supportati da AMD VISION Software Engine, che si compone del driver grafico AMD Catalyst, del driver AMD Open CL e dell’AMD VISION Engine Control Center. Con questa suite di software, gli utenti ricevono regolarmente gli aggiornamenti per incrementare le prestazioni del sistema e la stabilità.

Il processore AMD A8-3850 – dal prezzo di 129,99 euro – funziona a una frequenza di 2,9 GHz (CPU) e di 600 MHz (GPU) con 400 core Radeon, 4MB di cache L2 e un TDP di 100W.

AMD A6-3650 – disponibile al prezzo di 109,99 euro – ha una velocità di clock di 2,6 GHz (CPU) e 443MHz (GPU) con 320 core Radeon, 4MB di cache L2 e un TDP di 100W.

I principali ODM (Original Design Manufacturers) tra cui ASUS, ASRock, Biostar, ECS, Foxconn (Hong Hai Precision), Gigabyte, Jetway, MSI e Sapphire hanno già annunciato la disponibilità delle schede madri FM1 con APU AMD A-Series.

I processori per sistemi desktop AMD A8-3850 e A6-3650 saranno disponibili presso i system builder e i principali rivenditori online, tra cui Amazon, CyberPower Inc., iBuyPower, Newegg e TigerDirect agli inizi di Luglio 2011.

Nuovi processori saranno invece resi disponibili entro la fine dell’anno.

What: AMD (NYSE:AMD) today announced availability for the AMD Fusion A-Series Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) A8-3850 and A6-3650 desktop processors. The AMD A8-3850 and A6-3650 desktop processors will enable a high-performance experience for desktop users, including brilliant HD graphics, supercomputer-like performance, and incredibly fast application speeds.

Both the AMD A8-3850 and A6-3650 desktop processors combine four x86 CPU cores with powerful DirectX®11-capable discrete-level graphics, and up to 400 Radeon™ cores along with dedicated HD video processing on a single chip. Only AMD Fusion APUs offer true AMD Dual Graphics, with up to 120 percent visual performance boost[1], when paired with select AMD Radeon™ HD 6000 Series graphics cards. Consumers can achieve supercomputer-like performance of more than 500 gigaflops compute capacity and enjoy rapid content transfers via USB 3.0.

All A-Series processors are powered by AMD VISION Engine Software, which is composed of AMD Catalyst™ graphics driver, AMD OpenCL driver and the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. With this suite of software, users get regular updates designed to improve system performance and stability, and can add new software enhancements.

With a suggested retail price of $135, the AMD A8-3850 desktop processor operates at 2.9GHz (CPU) and 600MHz (GPU) with 400 Radeon™ Cores, 4MB of L2 cache and a TDP of 100W.

The AMD A6-3650 desktop processor has clock speeds of 2.6GHz (CPU) and 443MHz (GPU) with 320 Radeon™ Cores, 4MB of L2 cache and a TDP of 100W. The suggested retail price of the AMD A6-3650 desktop processor is $115.

AMD A8-3850 and A6-3650 desktop processors are scheduled to be available for purchase through system builders and at major online retailers, including Amazon,CyberPower Inc., iBuyPower, Newegg and TigerDirect beginning July 3, 2011. Additional processors are scheduled to be available later this year.
