AVerMedia Brings 1080p60 Signal Pass-through to the Game Capture HD

The only standalone game capture solution in the market capable of capturing 1080p video

Taipei, Taiwan—November 07, 2012

AVerMedia Technologies, Inc., the preeminent name in digital multimedia technology, today announced a software update for its popular Game Capture HD standalone HD video capture solution for gamers that bring support for 1080p video at 60 fps. This is the first standalone game video capture solution in the industry which brings full frame rate progressive video game play.

New firmware, new features

The new firmware update for the Game Capture HD makes it the only standalone game recorder solution that allows you to play your games at full frame rate. With both Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PlayStation 3 featuring native support for 1080p60 output via their respective component video outputs, you now get the full gaming experience while still being able to record your adventures, races, goals and every other imaginable in-game experience, so you can share it with your friends.

On top of this, the new firmware also brings along the ability to pause and then resume the recording, handy if you want to take a break from your game for a few minutes. What this means is that you now have the ability to continue to record to the same file, saving you time when it comes to editing your videos.

High quality video support, straight to a local storage device

Thanks to the built in H.264 video encoder in the Game Capture HD, you get high-quality video at bit-rates of up to 15Mbps, regardless of resolution and frame rate. Unlike competing solutions, you don’t need to have a computer next to your console, as the Game Capture HD records directly to either a standard internal 2.5-inch hard disk drive, or an external USB drive*.

The best part is that the software update for the Game Capture HD is free of charge and available for download from AVerMedia’s website. For more details about the Game Capture HD and the new software update, please visit: http://www.avermedia.com/
