Don’t Revive Me Bro & Quantic Media, along with Daniel Matros and Battlefieldo, are proud to introduce First Person Saviors, a charity event in support of Somalian Hunger Relief.

The food crisis in Somalia continues to worsen. For the second planting season in a row, the rains have been inadequate to ensure a proper harvest. The number of people in need of food assistance in Somalia is now 3.7 million, more than a third of the country’s population. It is time for the Battlefield Community to come together to lend a hand to those less fortunate.

Donations will be taken through GamersOutreach, a video-game industry charity organization that works to use interactive entertainment in ways that improve the lives of others. They are a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt non profit that specializes in working with gamers for charity. We will then be passing on 100% of the donations to the World Food Programme in support of their Somalian relief operation.

We have Battlefield: Bad Company 2 servers, graciously donated by i3d.net, a premier world wide game server provider, running for the full 24 hrs, starting Saturday August 6th at 9am GMT and will end August 7th at 9am GMT. Search for Somalian Hunger Relief SHR to find them. They will be located all over the world so everyone can join in. We encourage all players and participants to use the Somalian Hunger Relief, SHR clan tag and Twitter hash tag #somalianhungerrelief to help grow awareness of this event.

As an additional thank you for your participation, at set donation goals, $100, $500, $1000 and every $500 after that, we will be doing giveaways and prizes from EA / DICE, Gunnar Optiks, ASTRO Gaming, Beyond Gaming, Spirit Hoods and others. The prizes will be raffled off to those who donated during the event. Don’t Revive Me Bro will also be giving away Battlefield 3 t-shirts and other swag to random people throughout the day just for donating!

You will also have a chance to play with and against many Battlefield celebrities including members of Don’t Revive Me Bro, Quantic Gaming, The DCRU, as well as Daniel Matros, DICE’s global community manager and other DICE studio team members. The event will also be livestreamed on Twitch TV through Quantic Media’s channel and Don’t Revive Me Bro’s channel. You can also follow First Person Saviors on Twitter for information about upcoming charity events.

Somalia needs your help more than ever, and simply by playing a game and donating we can help change the lives of millions of people.
