Per la prima volta le immagini in-game di HALO: REACH !
L’appuntamento di fine anno non può che essere il Video Game Awards (VGA), l’evento realizzato da Spike.com per premiare i titoli che si sono contraddistinti nelle varie categorie che andrà in onda da Los Angeles il 12 Dicembre 2009 alle ore 20.
L’anno scorso a trionfare fu Grand Theft Auto IV mentre tra i titoli mostrati ci sono stati Uncharted 2: Amongst Thieves, God of War III, Fight Night: Round 4, Mafia II, Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned, Watchmen: The End is Night e Terminator Salvation.
Ecco un video che riassume il meglio della passata edizione presentata da Jack Black e nella quale fu presentato Brutal Legend, del quale proprio l’attore diede il suo aspetto e il doppiaggio vocale.
Per rendere questo evento ancora più interessante, vengono svelate novità importanti come i titoli che approderanno sulle piattaforme più diffuse come Nintendo Wii, PC, Playstation 3 e Xbox 360, che impreziosiscono e completano la cornice dello show.
Jeoff Kigley, famoso redattore di Gametrailers, ha scritto sul suo twitter che verranno svelati 10 nuovi titoli. Tra questi uno ptorebbe essere lo sparatutto in prima persona sviluppato da 2K Games di cui sono trapelate le immagini in rete e prontamente eliminate per non rovinare la sorpresa. Per quello che abbiamo potuto vedere, si tratta di un gioco ambientato in Egitto in una Dubai fatiscente, un cimitero di grattacieli e abitazioni vicini al crollo, in cui alcuni soldati si danno battaglia. Un soldato mostra l’effetto della sabbia del deserto che si alza ad ogni caduta o scivolata per raggiungere un riparo. Il video realizzato in computer grafica sembra concepito per mostrarne le caratteristiche e le meccaniche di gioco.
Ma il piatto forte sarà certamente HALO: REACH, il capitolo più atteso della saga, quello che gli sviluppatori già hanno commentato come il vero HALO da next-gen, il pluripremiato gioco per Xbox 360. Put your Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer match on pause for a minute and get ready — it’s time for the 2009 Video Game Awards! After months of secrecy, today we’re ready to start sharing details about our biggest VGAs ever, set to air LIVE on Saturday, December 12th.

This year’s show features awards for the best games of 2009, plus amazing world premieres of the most anticipated games for 2010 and 2011. And to add even more intrigue, almost all the world premieres will be ANNOUNCEMENTS of new, never-before-seen games.
Today we’re announcing our first premiere — HALO: REACH, a game that has been announced but never shown. All of us at Spike are incredibly excited to be working with Bungie and Xbox to bring you the first-ever look at the VGAs. At E3, Bungie’s Joe Staten announced that the game, a prequel to the Halo trilogy, is coming out in the Fall of 2010. He also screened a brief teaser trailer that showed nothing more than the planet Reach from space. At the VGAs you’ll finally get to see the world of Reach for the first time — and I promise that you won’t be disappointed.
Over the next three weeks we will be sharing more details on the other world premieres right here on Spike.com and GameTrailers.com. So please check back frequently to learn more about what we have planned for the show. I can hardly wait to tell you about some of the other exciting surprises we’re planning with all the major game publishers. Publishers contributing exclusive new content to the VGAs include 2K, Activision, Disney Interactive Studios, Electronic Arts, LucasArts Entertainment, Microsoft Game Studios, THQ, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and more to be announced in the coming weeks.
