Nuovi DLC per Dragon Age e Mass Effect 2

Sempre più spesso, sono necessari add-on e contenuti inediti affinché un titolo impegni a lungo l’attenzione dei propri videogiocatori. Questa consapevolezza ha convinto la Bioware a sviluppare nuovi contenuti scaricabili per il mondo fantasy di Dragon Age: Origins e per l’universo fantascientifico di Mass Effect 2.

La trama di ciascuna delle due espansioni ruoterà attorno ad uno dei personaggi chiave dei giochi originali: “Caccia alla Strega” per Dragon Age: Origins sarà incentrato su Morrigan, mentre Liara, compagna d’armi di Shepard, sarà protagonista dell’espansione “Lair of the Shadow Broker” per Mass Effect 2.

Caccia alla Strega” narra la storia di Morrigan dopo la sconfitta dell’Arcidemone, a un anno dalla sua scomparsa: ai Guardiani giunge voce che la Strega sia tornata a Ferelden, e toccherà ai giocatori cercarla e confrontarsi con lei. Come già da molto tempo accade con molte espansioni di imponenti giochi di ruolo (si pensi al primo Neverwinter Nights) sarà possibile importare il proprio personaggio di Dragon Age: Origins o crearsi da zero un nuovo eroe di alto livello.

In Mass Effect 2Lair of the Shadow Broker”, Liara T’Soni tenta di catturare il misterioso rapitore Shadow Broker e di salvare la vita della sua vittima. Liara chiede aiuto al Comandante Shepard e al suo equipaggio; il giocatore dovrà cercare indizi dalle lussureggianti cime di Illium fino alle profondità del covo segreto di Shadow Broker. I nuovi contenuti prevedono il centro informativo di Shadow Broker, nuovi potenziamenti da ricercare e la possibilità di approfondire la relazione con Liara.

Per scaricare i nuovi contenuti di Dragon Age si spenderanno $6.99 su PlayStation Network, 560 punti Microsoft su Xbox 360, 560 punti BioWare su PC; per quanto concerne Mass Effect 2, occorreranno 800 punti Microsoft su Xbox 360, 800 punti BioWare su PC.

(NASDAQ: ERTS), today released new downloadable content for the critically-acclaimed games Dragon Age™: Origins and Mass Effect™ 2, throwing gamers back into epic battles with new stories revolving around key supporting characters in each franchise. The Dragon Age: Origins DLC pack, “Witch Hunt” ($6.99 on PlayStation® Network, 560 Microsoft points on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system, 560 BioWare Points on PC) features a story that reconnects players with one of the series’ original larger-than-life heroes, Morrigan. The Mass Effect 2 DLC pack, “Lair of the Shadow Broker” (800 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360, 800 BioWare Points on PC), centers around Liara, a popular character and squadmate from the original Mass Effect.

Dragon: Age Origins “Witch Hunt” picks up Morrigan’s story after the defeat of the Archdemon and her disappearance into the shadows. Nearly a year has passed since the Archdemon’s death, and word has reached the Wardens that Morrigan has returned to Ferelden. Seeking to confirm her presence and confront her about her mysterious disappearance, players will head into the forest to tie up this last loose end once and for all. Players can either import their characters from Dragon: Age Origins and Dragon Age: Origins — Awakening or create a new, high-level hero. Dragon Age: Origins was the “RPG of the Year” for 2009 as named by Game Informer, the SpikeTV Video Game Awards and IGN.com among others. In Mass Effect 2 “Lair of the Shadow Broker”, Liara T’Soni is tracking down the mysterious Shadow Broker with the hopes of recovering a kidnap victim. Liara enlists the help of Commander Shepard and his crew, chasing clues from the luxurious heights of Illium to the depths of the Shadow Broker’s own secret lair. The new DLC pack adds the Shadow Broker intel center, new research, as well as the chance to continue a relationship with Liara from the original Mass Effect.
