La 76esima edizione degli Emmy Awards tenutasi nella scorsa notte ha visto il nome di un totale vincitore: si tratta di Shogun, il drama storico di FX.
Adattamento del romanzo omonimo di James Clavell, la serie ha letteralmente trionfato vincendo complessivamente 18 dei 25 premi ai quali era candidato, inclusi quelli per il miglior drama e per i migliori interpreti protagonisti in un drama con Hiroyuki Sanada e Anna Sawai.
Record storico per il prestigioso premio televisivo non solo per il numero di statuette ma anche per essere diventata la prima produzione non anglofona a vincere il riconoscimento di miglior serie drammatica. Memorabile anche il premio della Sawai che diventa la prima attrice giapponese a vincere un Emmy.
FX celebra anche gli 11 Emmy portati a casa da The Bear (complice anche il favoloso episodio Fishes), un nuovo entusiasmante successo dopo gli Awards 2023. Tra le altre premiazioni importanti, continua il successo di Hacks mentre stupiscono i riconoscimenti raccolti da Baby Reindeer di Netflix.
