A pochi giorni dalle premiazioni dei Golden Globe, nelle scorse ore è stato il turno degli Emmy Awards 2024 che hanno visto tre produzioni chiaramente trionfatrici.
Si tratta di Succession, con sei statuette tra cui Miglior serie drammatica, e The Bear, con lo stesso numero di riconoscimenti e il primato come Miglior serie commedia. Segue con un minimo scarto di un premio Beef (Lo Scontro) di Netflix, insignita come miglior miniserie dell’anno. Particolare commozione per la vittoria di Quinta Brunson, attrice ed autrice di Abbot Elementary, che ha vinto il premio come miglior attrice protagonista: un riconoscimento per una donna afroamericana che mancava da ben 42 anni, dal 1981 quando a trionfare fu Isabel Sanfrod per I Jefferson.
Gloria anche per l’Italia, che ha visto due storiche candidature con Sabrina Impacciatore e Simona Tabasco, come attrici non protagoniste per la stagione siciliana della serie The White Lotus. Il premio è andato tuttavia a Jennifer Coolidge.
