E’ ora di radunare gli amici e iniziare la jam session
E’ prevista per domani l’uscita di Rock Band 3, il nuovo videogioco di stampo musicale sviluppato da Harmonix in collaborazione con MTV Games e distribuito da Electronic Arts Inc. Si tratta di un’esperienza interattiva che finora ha ricevuto parecchi consensi dalla critica di settore.
I giocatori che acquisteranno il gioco subito dopo il lancio (l’offerta è valida fino al primo novembre) potranno scaricare gratuitamente tre canzoni dei Doors: “Light My Fire”, “Riders on the Storm” e “Touch Me” avranno parti di basso, chitarra, batteria, e tastiera; un’altra espansione, sempre gratuita, aggiungerà nuove parti di maggiore difficoltà. In aggiunta a queste canzoni, è già possibile procurarsi – sempre online – un ulteriore pacchetto di nove pezzi dello storico gruppo statunitense accedendo al Rock Band Music Store; nelle future release compariranno artisti del calibro di Billy Joel, John Lennon e Bon Jovi.
In contemporanea all’uscita del gioco, lo stesso sito RockBand.com è stato ridisegnato da capo, ed ora permette ai fan di pubblicare tutti i loro trofei e i loro risultati nella pagina personalizzata “My Gameplay“; potranno anche condividerli su Facebook, Twitter, o via email, così che gli amici possano seguire gli avanzamenti di carriera del proprio musicista virtuale. Direttamente dalla propria console, poi, potranno eseguire l’upload delle proprie playlist e sfidare gli altri giocatori.
La tracklist di Rock Band 3 comprende 83 canzoni, fra le quali pezzi di Avenged Sevenfold, Paramore, Jane’s Addiction, Phish, Anthrax, e The Cure; a queste si aggiungono le più di 2000 canzoni presenti nella Library musicale di Rock Band. Le parti vocali arriveranno fino a tre, e si aggiungerà agli strumenti una tastiera, portando ad un totale di sette il numero di giocatori che potrà esibirsi contemporaneamente.
La modalità Carriera coinvolgerà il giocatore in una tournée ambientata in diversi scenari, dall’imbastire spettacoli da strada fino ad esibirsi nei più grandi concerti da stadio; la longevità dovrebbe essere assicurata da più di 700 obiettivi da raggiungere. Una delle novità più interessanti è la Pro Mode: questa modalità proporrà un gameplay nuovo, con cui il giocatore potrà iniziare ad apprendere le basi dei veri strumenti musicali.
Rock Band 3 è compatibile con le periferiche di tutti i precedenti titoli Rock Band, nonché con la maggior parte di microfoni e controller sul mercato; maggiori limitazioni di scelta riguardo le periferiche vi saranno qualora l’utente voglia giocare in modalità Pro. La casa manifatturiera ufficiale dei controller Rock Band 3 è l’ottima Mad Catz; alcuni degli ultimi prodotti sono i controller Rock Band 3 Fender Mustang PRO-Guitar, Rock Band 3 Wireless Keyboard, il kit di espansione Rock Band 3 PRO-Cymbals e l’adattore MIDI Rock Band 3. In collaborazione con Fender, inoltre, la Harmonix ha sviluppato il Rock Band 3 Squier Fender Stratocaster Guitar Controller, una vera e propria chitarra elettrica a sei corde compatibile con la Pro Mode di Rock Band 3, e che sarà disponibile all’inizio del 2011.

To kick off downloadable content for Rock Band 3, the legendary band, The Doors, will be the first of several high profile artists featured in the Rock Band Music Store. A three-pack of The Doors’ songs is available for free to fans that purchase Rock Band 3 and play online during the first week of launch (Oct. 26-Nov. 1). The free pack, which is available only through the Rock Band 3 in-game Music Store, includes “Light My Fire,” “Riders on the Storm” and “Touch Me,” and incorporate five-button guitar and bass, Drums, Pro Drums and Keys, Pro Keys and harmonies, where applicable, as well as a free expansion that will add Pro Guitar and Pro Bass parts.
As previously announced, The Doors also released an additional nine-pack of songs today, available for purchase and download in the Rock Band Music Store2. And soon, Rock Band 3 players can expect new downloadable tracks from legendary artists, including Billy Joel, John Lennon and Bon Jovi!
To coincide with the launch of Rock Band 3, RockBand.com has been completely redesigned by the team that brought you the Webby Award-winning The Beatles™: Rock Band™ website.
