Amd ha annunciato questa mattina la sesta generazione dei suoi processori A-Series, le APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) con le più elevate prestazioni al mondo con design System-on-Chip (SoC) ovvero integrate anche con scheda grafica. Conosciuti in precedenza con il nome in codice di “Carrizo”, AMD ha realizzato le nuove APU A-Series utilizzando la propria esperienza sia in ambito computing che grafico per offrire un’esperienza d’uso senza precedenti. La sesta generazione di processori AMD A- series è la più versatile mai realizzata dall’azienda e si distingue per le ottime prestazioni con gli applicativi odierni e futuri in ambito professionale e consumer, per lo streaming di contenuti video e per giochi online,  il tutto senza dover collegare il pc alla presa elettrica durante la giornata3.
 
Con le nuove APU, AMD introduce novità tecnologiche assolute per il mercato: il primo High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) a livello hardware per notebook, il primo design ad integrare Heterogeneous Systems Architecture (HSA) 1.0 e la prima APU ad alte prestazioni compatibile con la tecnologia ARM TrustZone.
