«Joker» fa il pienone, bene Tarantino
Il film di Todd Phillips, già vincitore del Leone d’oro a Venezia come miglior film e del premio come migliore attore protagonista per Joaquin Phoenix, totalizza ben 11 nominations alla cerimonia degli Oscar 2020 (in programma il 9 febbraio al Dolby Theatre di Los Angeles), tra cui appunto Miglior Film, Miglior Regia e Miglior Attore protagonista. Ottimo risultato anche per Quentin Tarantino e il suo «C’era una volta…a Hollywood» che si piazza al secondo posto con ben dieci candidature ex aequo con «The Irishman», la megaproduzione Netflix con alla regia Martin Scorsese e «1917» il film ambientato durante la prima guerra mondiale con protagonisti George MacKay e Dean-Charles Chapman (proprio lui, il Tommen Baratheon de “Il Trono di Spade”), affiancati da un cast corale che comprende Mark Strong, Andrew Scott, Richard Madden, Colin Firth e Benedict Cumberbatch.
Bon Joon-ho con «Parasite» è il film più quotato per la categoria miglior film internazionale, ma il regista è anche in lista per il premio alla migliore regia. Bel riconoscimento per Scarlett Johansson, candidata in entrambe le categorie dedicate alle interpreti femminili: miglior protagonista per «Marriage story» e non protagonista con «Jojo rabbit».
