The Game Awards ha formalizzato le proprie nomination per l’annata 2025, selezionate da una giuria globale di oltre 150 tra testate giornalistiche e creators.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 ha ottenuto ben dodici nomination, distinguendosi non solo come il titolo maggiormente rappresentato nell’edizione 2025. Altresì anche come il videogioco con il maggior numero di nomination nella storia ultra decennale dei The Game Awards, segnando un vero e proprio record storico. A seguire troviamo Death Stranding 2: On the Beach e Ghost of Yōtei con otto nomination ciascuno, Hades II con sei, Hollow Knight: Silksong con cinque ed infine Split Fiction con quattro.
Sony Interactive Entertainment si è rivelato il publisher più presente dell’edizione 2025 con diciannove nomination complessive, seguito dalle tredici di Kepler Interactive e dalle dieci ciascuna per Electronic Arts e Microsoft.
La categoria maggiormente attesa, quella dedicata al Game of the Year, ospita una sestina di altissimo livello che attesta la qualità dell’annata. Troviamo infatti a darsi battaglia Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Donkey Kong Bananza, Hades II, Hollow Knight: Silksong e Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
